Let’s be honest, trying to find good cosmetics without completely breaking your budget can be a huge struggle. While being in college it’s been a back and forth battle on choosing which products to invest in and which ones to get at my local drug store. With that said, I believe I have found the products that work best for me while also staying within my broke-girl budget.
All the products below will be linked so you too can start shopping to your cosmetic-heart desires!
Current Cosmetic Favorites
NYX Pore Filler: When I read the name of this primer for the first time, so many sirens went off in my mind, “Pore filler? uhm no thanks.” Anything that says it’s going to fill up my pores is a red flag, but be assured it doesn’t actually clog up your face. It just lowers the appearance of your pores, which creates a smooth, flawless canvas for your foundation. I was not one who liked primers, but the older I get, the more I realize just how necessary it is to invest in skin care and the proper cosmetics and primer is an excellent product to prepare your skin from getting clogged with foundations and concealers.
Maybeline Dream BB Pure: Most days of the week I wear BB cream since it’s not too thick. Out of all of the drugstore BB creams, this one is by far my favorite, because it is so light on my skin but also provides great and even coverage.
Clinique Beyond Perfect Foundation + Concealer: This is obviously more of an investment item, but one that I would encourage. I don’t like wearing foundation except for special events and this one is great because it is foundation and concealer all in one, without the “cake-y” look of having too much makeup on. It also lasts all day which is a big plus in my eyes.
L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise: I love this mascara because it’s like the drug store version of Too Faced’s mascara. I only need about two layers of this and my lashes are long, full and voluminous. It really is a paradise for your lashes.
Covergirl Easy, Breezy, Brow Shape + Define: I naturally have very thick and full eyebrows sildénafil prix. Throughout the years I have struggled between trying to fill in my brows or just leave them alone. I love this brow gel by Covergirl because it’s tinted to match my natural brow color, but it is not meant to act as a filler, it is meant to define and smooth your brows so they stay tamed all day. For all my natural brunettes out there with prominent brows – this will become your best friend.
Laura Mercier Translucent Powder: Okay, I will admit this is my boujee purchase of makeup. For far too long I always bought powders that clogged my pores, made my skin feel thick and gross and added too much color to my complexion. Laura Mercier’s translucent powder is light, lasts forever, and does not make my skin feel overdone. Worth every penny.
Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder, Sunglow: I always thought that you needed to spend far too much money to get a good highlighter, but it turns out there are a few diamonds in the rough at your local drug stores. Milani’s instant glow powder is subtle, yet adds a beautiful natural looking glow that doesn’t look artificial.
Milani Baked Blush: I have also become a big fan of Milani’s baked blush. It has a beautiful natural shimmer to it, which is perfect with spring and summer right around the corner.
This was so much fun to prepare for you guys, and I hope you try some of these products out! Much love for y’all and I’ll be seeing you!
